ECX Mainnet Is Live: Permanent eCash (ECX) Balances, Checker, Explorer and Wallets

ECX Mainnet is live after Bitcoin block 973,728. Check your permanent ECX balance, explore the blockchain, and learn how to access ECX safely.

ECX Mainnet launch showing the permanent ECX network following the Alpha and Beta practice stages.

The eCash (ECX) Bitcoin fork has reached Mainnet. Following the Alpha and Beta practice networks, ECX now operates with permanent balances established from the Bitcoin snapshot at block 973,728. Bitcoin holders can use the ECX Claim Checker to inspect their Alpha, Beta and Mainnet balances separately, explore Mainnet transactions through the ECX block explorer, and use compatible wallets to access and manage ECX.

The central distribution rule is straightforward: 1 BTC = 1 ECX for eligible Bitcoin holdings recorded at the Mainnet snapshot, subject to the fork's distribution rules. The snapshot does not convert or remove BTC. Bitcoin stays on the Bitcoin network, while ECX exists independently on the eCash network.

ECX Mainnet: What Has Changed?

Mainnet is the transition from practice ECX to permanent ECX. Alpha and Beta allowed the network and ecosystem to operate in test environments; their balances remain useful as historical practice balances but are not claimable as permanent coins.

The Mainnet snapshot determines the permanent ECX balance associated with eligible Bitcoin addresses. Users should not assume that an Alpha or Beta balance is identical to the Mainnet balance: each stage uses a separate Bitcoin snapshot.

NetworkBitcoin snapshot blockECX balanceClaimable as permanent ECX?
Alpha963,648Practice ECXNo
Beta967,680Practice ECXNo
Mainnet973,728Permanent ECXYes

The distinction matters: the ECX claim process applies only to Mainnet ECX. Alpha and Beta balances can be checked, but they cannot be redeemed or converted into permanent Mainnet coins.

1 BTC = 1 ECX: How the Bitcoin Fork Distribution Works

The Mainnet distribution follows a 1:1 reference ratio: eligible BTC recorded at the snapshot corresponds to an equal amount of ECX on the separate network.

Eligible BTC at Bitcoin block 973,728Corresponding Mainnet ECX
0.01 BTC0.01 ECX
0.10 BTC0.10 ECX
1 BTC1 ECX
5 BTC5 ECX

These examples illustrate the distribution ratio, not a promise of wallet access or exchange support. Actual results depend on the address's qualifying snapshot state and the network's eligibility rules.

You do not have to send BTC to anyone to receive ECX. The snapshot does not transfer, burn, lock or exchange Bitcoin. A wallet that held eligible BTC at the snapshot can have a corresponding ECX balance on the forked network, while the original BTC remains on Bitcoin.

Moving BTC after the Mainnet snapshot does not retroactively change the historical snapshot. However, before spending affected BTC or ECX, users should understand the network's replay-protection and coin-splitting requirements.

Check Alpha, Beta and Mainnet ECX With One Public Bitcoin Address

The ECX Claim Checker is the simplest starting point for a Bitcoin holder.

Enter a public Bitcoin address to inspect three independent ECX balances:

  • Alpha: practice ECX from Bitcoin block 963,648.
  • Beta: practice ECX from Bitcoin block 967,680.
  • Mainnet: permanent ECX from Bitcoin block 973,728.

Only Mainnet ECX can be accessed through the permanent-ECX claim flow. The checker is an informational lookup; it does not move funds, connect to a wallet or perform a claim.

Checking an address never requires a private key, seed phrase or recovery phrase. If a page asks for wallet secrets merely to display a balance, stop.

Why might my Mainnet balance differ from Alpha or Beta?

The three snapshots were taken at different Bitcoin blocks. An address's BTC balance may have changed between those snapshots. As a result, its practice balances and permanent Mainnet balance may be different. The Mainnet result—not either test-network result—is the relevant balance for permanent ECX.

ECX Mainnet Block Explorer: Inspect the Network

The ECX Mainnet explorer is available at explorer.ecash.com.

A block explorer provides a transparent view into blockchain activity. Depending on the explorer's supported features, users can inspect blocks, transaction identifiers, addresses and transaction confirmations.

The explorer and the checker serve different purposes:

ToolPrimary purpose
ECX Claim CheckerLook up Alpha, Beta and Mainnet balances using a public BTC address
ECX Mainnet ExplorerInspect ECX Mainnet blockchain activity and transactions
Claim ToolsFollow the supported process to access Mainnet ECX only

For a completed ECX transfer, use the explorer to verify the transaction on the correct network. Do not confuse Alpha or Beta test-network data with Mainnet activity.

ECX Wallet Infrastructure Is Ready for Mainnet

A blockchain launch is more useful when users have practical ways to inspect the chain, manage their assets and understand safe access. The ECX ecosystem includes a public-address checker, a Mainnet explorer, wallet infrastructure and documentation covering the Bitcoin fork and post-fork safety.

Two wallet options serve different user needs.

Qorpex: ECX Support in a Multi-Currency Wallet

Qorpex is a non-custodial, multi-currency wallet designed to manage Bitcoin, ECX and other supported digital assets from one environment.

For Bitcoin holders who already manage several cryptocurrencies, Qorpex offers a multi-chain approach rather than requiring a wallet dedicated to ECX. Its ECX-related documentation also covers Bitcoin-fork mechanics and BTC/ECX coin separation.

ECXIUM: A Dedicated eCash (ECX) Wallet

ECXIUM focuses on the eCash (ECX) network. A dedicated ECX wallet may suit users who prefer a simpler interface centered on sending, receiving and managing ECX.

As with any wallet, verify that you are using the correct official domain and that the version you open explicitly supports ECX Mainnet, not only Alpha or Beta.

How to Claim or Access Your Mainnet ECX

Claiming ECX does not mint extra coins or convert your BTC. The Mainnet snapshot establishes the corresponding permanent ECX balance; the claim/access process is about controlling and safely managing that balance.

Step 1 — Check the public BTC address. Use the ECX Claim Checker to identify the Mainnet balance. Do not confuse it with Alpha or Beta practice ECX.

Step 2 — Identify who controls the Bitcoin wallet. Self-custody holders who control the relevant wallet credentials have a different access path from users whose BTC was held by an exchange or other custodian.

Step 3 — Read the security and splitting instructions. ECX uses opt-in replay protection. Do not assume transactions on Bitcoin and ECX are automatically isolated.

Step 4 — Choose a compatible Mainnet wallet or access tool. Confirm network compatibility and follow the documented procedure. Never enter recovery phrases into the public balance checker.

Step 5 — Verify the result. Once an ECX Mainnet transaction is completed, use the Mainnet block explorer to inspect it.

Important: BTC and ECX Must Be Managed Safely After the Fork

Bitcoin and ECX are separate assets on separate networks. Your BTC remains BTC. The fork does not remove or convert Bitcoin.

However, ECX's replay protection is opt-in, not automatic. Under some circumstances, a transaction broadcast on one chain could also be valid on the other chain if coins have not been properly separated.

For that reason:

  • Do not rush to move BTC from an affected wallet before understanding coin splitting.
  • Use only tools and procedures compatible with ECX Mainnet.
  • Confirm the destination network and address before signing a transaction.
  • Never share private keys or recovery phrases with support accounts, strangers or unofficial claim websites.
  • Remember that a public-address balance check never needs private credentials.

What if My Bitcoin Was on an Exchange?

A balance visible on an exchange is not the same as holding the corresponding Bitcoin private keys yourself. If your BTC was on a custodial platform at the Mainnet snapshot, access to the corresponding ECX depends on the exchange's policies and support.

The 1 BTC = 1 ECX distribution ratio does not guarantee that an exchange will credit its customers with ECX. Contact the provider and consult its official announcements. Never assume exchange support without confirmation.

Can I Still Claim ECX Later?

Yes. The ECX claim does not have an artificial expiration deadline. There is no need to rush, expose wallet secrets or pay an unknown third party merely because Mainnet has launched.

Prioritize verifying your address, understanding the fork and choosing compatible tools. The snapshot already defines the corresponding balance under the network rules; claiming does not create the allocation.

ECX Mainnet Frequently Asked Questions

Is ECX Mainnet live?

Yes. The ECX Mainnet launch follows the Alpha and Beta practice stages and establishes permanent ECX balances from the Bitcoin snapshot at block 973,728.

How much ECX do I get for 1 BTC?

The reference distribution ratio is 1 BTC = 1 ECX for eligible BTC at the Mainnet snapshot. The corresponding ECX balance depends on the qualifying snapshot state.

Which Bitcoin block determines permanent ECX?

Bitcoin block 973,728 determines permanent Mainnet ECX. Alpha used block 963,648 and Beta used block 967,680 for practice balances.

Can I claim Alpha or Beta ECX?

No. Alpha and Beta balances are practice ECX. Only Mainnet ECX is permanent and eligible for the Mainnet claim/access process.

Do I need a private key to check my ECX balance?

No. The checker requires only a public Bitcoin address. Wallet credentials must never be entered for a balance lookup.

Where can I see ECX Mainnet transactions?

Use the ECX Mainnet block explorer to inspect supported blockchain data and transaction details.

No. The snapshot does not convert or transfer Bitcoin. BTC remains on the Bitcoin network. Take replay-protection and coin-splitting precautions before moving affected coins.

Is ECX the same cryptocurrency as XEC?

No. eCash (ECX), the Bitcoin fork discussed here, is not related to eCash (XEC). Verify the ticker, network and wallet compatibility before taking action.

Is there a deadline to claim ECX?

No artificial claim deadline applies. Users can take time to verify their holdings and follow safe access procedures.

ECX Mainnet: A New Stage for Bitcoin Holders

Mainnet marks the transition from ECX practice networks to permanent ECX balances. Bitcoin holders now have a clearer path to understanding their allocation: consult the three-network checker, confirm permanent Mainnet ECX, inspect the blockchain through the public explorer and choose compatible wallet infrastructure.

The key facts remain simple: 1 BTC = 1 ECX for eligible Mainnet snapshot holdings; BTC remains BTC; Alpha and Beta are practice networks; and only Mainnet ECX can be claimed.
